Abstract

Introduction. The rapid development of digital technologies and the spread of e-commerce significantly transform modern business processes, forming new requirements for the organization of logistics activities. The growth of online trade volumes, the expansion of international e-commerce platforms and the increase in consumer expectations regarding the speed and quality of delivery of goods make the issue of improving the logistics support of e-commerce relevant. In modern conditions, logistics is not only an auxiliary function of e-business, but also one of the key factors of its competitiveness, as it ensures effective management of material, information and financial flows at all stages of order fulfillment.

The purpose of the article is to determine the features of modern trends and prospects for the development of e-commerce, as well as its logistics support.

Results. It was established that the main trends in the development of e-commerce logistics are the digitalization of logistics operations, automation of warehouse processes, integration of information systems of supply chain participants, the use of artificial intelligence technologies for forecasting demand and optimizing delivery routes, as well as the active development of omnichannel consumer service models. The use of digital platforms ensures the synchronization of material and information flows, increases the transparency of logistics operations and helps reduce operating costs. The study showed that an important direction in the development of e-commerce logistics is the introduction of automated warehouse complexes, robotic order picking systems and real-time inventory management technologies.

Conclusions. Based on the analysis, it is substantiated that the prospects for the development of e-commerce logistics are associated with the further digital transformation of supply chains, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, the Internet of Things, blockchain and digital platforms for managing logistics processes. At the same time, the creation of integrated logistics ecosystems that ensure effective interaction between manufacturers, logistics operators, trading platforms and end consumers is gaining strategic importance. Thus, the results of the study confirm that logistics support is becoming a determining factor in the development of e-commerce and the formation of its competitive advantages. Further improvement of logistics processes based on digital technologies will contribute to increasing the efficiency of e-commerce, increasing the quality of consumer service and strengthening the positions of enterprises in the digital economy.
